Camp UNique
Camp UNique is a quarterly youth camp organized by "U" Niquely "U", Inc., in partnership with the local police and local MMA gym. The camp is aimed at empowering youth between the ages of 10 and 17, helping them build self-confidence, self-esteem, and empathy for others. The program follows a solution-based, experiential approach to provide students with a deeper understanding of themselves, fostering self-respect and respect for others. It also equips them with tools to avoid negative self-judgment and address bullying or cyberbullying situations
Program Goals & Objectives
Our mission is to guide and support troubled youth, particularly those grappling with bullying, low self-esteem, and a lack of confidence. We strive to empower students as change agents, fostering an atmosphere of respect, acceptance, and safety. Throughout our program, participants will:
- Understand the root, causes, and impacts of bullying and cyberbullying.
- Acknowledge the effects of their actions and words on others.
- Learn how to report bullying incidents effectively.
- Master bystander intervention techniques.
- Develop resilience strategies to silence their inner critics.
- Foster self-love and abolish self-bullying behaviors.
- Embrace their individuality and appreciate diversity.
- Cultivate empathy and forge supportive relationships.
- Gain self-defense skills to boost confidence and resilience.
